May is a month full so so many possibilities, the whole "April Showers" thing is over with and we can focus on the May flowers part. Possibilities are BLOOMING, the school year is winding down, the weather is warm, summer vacations are becoming more and more tempting to us AND to our travel clients. The days are longer, the sun is out and I just received my ah-MAY-zing Plussing It Launch Box, life is indeed GOOD! Just in time for an uptick in travel momentum, we MAY just be turning the corner for real folks!
It's true that I subscribe to this box predominantly to gain fresh ideas on how to spoil my travel guests and entice new guests to take a walk on the wild side, by trusting and booking with this agent. (I know it's hard to believe that all of this travel booking goodness is free.) Each month when I open the Launch Box, there's a healthy amount of give and take happening...not this month. Nope, every single morsel of fabulousness is staying right here with me. (It's really...
Travel Agent Success is BLOOMING This Month
I love a good scavenger hunt. Even more so when there are participation prizes! To celebrate the Disney Vacation Club's 30th Anniversary, members can participate in the DVC Scenic Selfies Game and earn four adorable commemorative buttons!
Stop by any staffed DVC kiosk in any theme park to get started. You'll scan a QR and receive your clues. Take a selfie in the exact location, add a sticker, upload and repeat!
Once you have logged your selfie at all five locations, head back to the staffed DVC kiosk and claim your prize.
While this fun photo activity says it's a DVC member exclusive on the website, I think it's worth asking at the DVC kiosk if you can participate if you aren't a member. It can't hurt to ask!
Have you done this yet?
I think we can all agree that COVID-19 and all that goes with it has put a major damper on the last year of our lives inside of the theme parks and out. While we were all so thankful when Walt Disney World reopened last summer, it was slightly bittersweet to have to adjust to so many changes that were implemented since the closure. Many of those changes were necessary for the safety of the guests, but a lot of them, like no nighttime entertainment or character meet and greets, left many Disney fans praying for the days when things can return to “normal.”
Although it may feel like the parks only have the “bare necessities” right now, I actually have a list of things I hope DON’T go back to normal after COVID. I have managed to find five things about Social Distanced Disney that I enjoy and don’t want to change! Let’s see if you agree.
1. Character Cavalcades/Pop Up Meet and Greets
I’ll admit, I am counting down the days until I can...
“I’m going to Walt Disney World!” Once you’ve made that decision, you are probably on cloud 9, right? But then come all the details that have to be planned. Number 1 on that list might be: where am I going to stay? For many, those red-shingled roofs and spires scream “Disney”! Before you even make it to the Magic Kingdom bus stop, you catch a glimpse of the beauty and grandeur of Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa.
Let’s chat about 5 of the TOP TEN of what exactly makes the Grand Floridian GRAND!
1. Magic Kingdom Walkway: This has become a game-changer recently. In the past few months, a walkway opened connecting Magic Kingdom to the Grand Floridian. If you want to get a head start in the morning and not wait on the monorail to start running, this could be perfect for you. You will exit near the monorail station, so just a hop-and-a-skip away from the Magic Kingdom tapstiles. The distance is about .7 miles or about a 10-15...
Lucky you, not only are you at Walt Disney World, but you are there during one of the most spirited, carefree, and fun holidays of the year, ST. PATRICK'S DAY! We are ALWAYS one to be celebrating something, and St. Patrick's Day is no exception! Grab your green Minnie ears, your quirky green knee socks, and let's get shamROCKED!!!
Here's our list of the TOP FOUR awesomely Irish things to do while enjoying St. Patty's Day at Walt Disney World!
I'm not going to beat around the bush; the absolute BIGGEST and best, must-do for your St. Patty's Day list is to visit Raglan Road in Disney Springs. It is ALWAYS St. Patrick's Day at Raglan road so you can imagine the excitement and energy that pulsates from this amazing, authentic Irish eatery during the ACTUAL St. Patrick's Day holiday.
From March 12th-17th, you can enjoy the "Mighty St. Patrick's Festival" at Raglan Road, this annual event will be paired down slightly to...
